These are very impressive photographs, well done. I have tried both birds and butterflies myself, and they are not easy!

Spectacular shots, Cindy. And are the lilacs truly in blossom by you? If I were a butterfly, I would plant myself on one of the bushes and not fly again until every one of those flowers had disappeared. The perfume is so heady, I can only imagine what the nectar must be like. Butterfly drugs.
And the hummingbird shots are stunning as well.
Spring is here!

I was thrilled when I moved into this house that there was a lilac bush. We’ve had a lot of rain, so they are profuse and intoxicating. Soon you will see spring!

I see those types of yellow butterflies often in the spring. They’re so pretty!

Hi! Seems like they were absent for many years–then, this spring they are everywhere. And huge!

Cindy, once again these are fabulous. You have such a great eye. I wishhhhh we were getting some spring weather. So wet and damp here. But at least I can look at these pictures and know it is on the way! 😉

Sorry your spring is late arriving–I appreciate your kind thoughts regarding my photography. It’s a fun hobby outside of film watching and writing. Cheers 🙂

Cindy, these are stunning pictures. I just love hummingbirds.

Even though they “stand still” in the air before they alter their course, they are most tricky to catch on film. Thanks, Malcolm.

Love the upside down butterfly. It’s not easy to capture the butterfly, I tried photographing the ‘Ulysses Blue’, in Kurranda, Australia (back in June 2008), I couldn’t get a single clear picture with a still butterfly. They move swiftly and nonstop. WELL DONE!!!

Thank you so much! Wow, I would have loved to photograph a ‘Ulysses Blue’ in Australia. That continent has the most interesting critters on it.

Ha!! Good Luck!! If do manage to get a Ulysses Blue to stand still, more power to you 🙂
