Our group just got back today from traveling to southern Italy. What a fabulous time! My favorite leg was in Sorrento. The flowers, the water, the homes, and the food captivated everyone. We learned about something special in the mornings. Then we napped or swam at the hotel pool in the afternoon and went out at night. Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Which one do you like best?
Which one do I like best? I refuse to choose just one. Instead, I will choose #1, #5, #6, #7 and #8. I am hungry just now; #6 looked especially tasty.

Hi Allen! Well, thanks for the votes. The fish sampler had some interesting creatures in it. I just went for the pasta. Yum!
Thank you for voting.

Ugh, I’m swimming in jealousy over here. So beautiful. What’s especially enticing is the way you laid out your days’ plans. Sounds very relaxing and inspiring. I wish I had the money to travel. 🙄

Knowing your sensibilities that come through in your posts, you would catch the travel bug wholeheartedly. I pick up extra jobs that are strictly used for traveling. That’s how I do it.
Thank you for commenting, Tom.

Loved the photos. My sister in law just completed the Greek Islands cruise with a stopover in Italy so we got lots of pictures as she visited each place. I agree on the food. I dwelt on that one for quite some time then headed for the kitchen. 🙂

Hi, Ian. Your sister is having my dream vacation. Did she say which island in Greek island was her favorite? We did a lot of walking each day, thank heavens! Because we ate a lot of pasta and bread and drank a lot of wine and Peroni beer.

No, I think she put up pictures on a FB closed group and some for public view. Not sure exactly where the cruise went and where the passengers stopped over for a look. It looks very beautiful there. The sea so clear in some places.

I day dreamed I lived there. I could write a hundred novels on that hilltop overlooking the sea.

Not choosing a photo, but the food shot made me want to eat that! I have only ever been to Rome, so the coast looks enticing indeed. Glad to hear you are having a lovely time.
Best wishes, Pete. x

It was as good as it looked, Pete. Living in the desert made us all appreciate the water more. O to spend a few weeks there in summer would be my retirement dream.

I have to pick one? That isn’t fair. Loved that sunset, but I guess I will choose number 7.

I have posted about Venice, but not Rome or Florence…going back this fall and will post then…still nothing along the coast, so we are WAY behind!

WOW! Just wow! Cindy the places you’ve been. Gorgeous. I’m glad you had a great time. I think I will say the last photo because it makes me think of how foreign places looked exotic and otherworldly on 35mm film print back in the 80s and 90s of my childhood but I do think some of the other photos of sunsets and cliffs are more beautiful. Can’t wait to hear about more of your adventures. These are better than my London shots.

Oh, baloney. I’m a point and shoot, gal. Capri is so beautiful, it’s hard to take a bad shot!
I loved sitting after exploring with a drink and local cuisine. People watching for a couple hours in the afternoon is my favorite way to spend it. I thank you for the kind words.

Beautiful sunset, beautiful food. I love Italy very much. I’ve visited Lake Como a dozen times, never made it south. Maybe one day.
