Have you been to the Greek Isles? You are so close!

Not yet Cindy I suppose 1&1/2 thousand miles sounds close in the vastness of America! It is about a 4 hr flight which isn’t too bad, so maybe we will one day if all the airlines don’t go bust.

Oh, please, go on my behalf!! I’d live there if I could.

I like the perspective of the house looking much larger than the distant cruise ship.
My memories of Greece are of heat, and blue sea. This reminds me of being at Cape Sounion, and looking out from a high point.
Best wishes, Pete.

Hi Pete. I like the periwinkle water and the crisp contrasts in color of the buildings, the walk ways, the way the light plays with the colors of doors and alleys and, well, everything. Hope all is well with you, my friend!

Hi Derrick. Have you been to the Greek Isles? I envy my English blogging buddies for being so close to Europe. I assume “you all” have explored extensively. I don’t recall on your blog posted about your traveling exploits?

I haven’t travelled widely, but earlier posts feature my house in France. For several years I spent time both there and here – weeks at a time.

OH MY!! What an amazing Vista! Love to go over there some day.
But it won’t happen in this lifetime.

Why not? You two love to travel. It’s worth the voyage. Forget the Caribbean. 😉

I’m sure you will, John! I’ve been twice, and I’m never disappointed. Just that I leave too soon. I’d like to stay a good couple weeks there. But, there’s other islands I’m itching to explore. Athens around the Parthenon is the heart of it all. Great vibe and food. I’m sure you will love it. Looking forward to your pictures. 🙂

Thanks Cindy! We were completely booked and ready to go, but we will shift it all back a year and do it next summer instead – and in fact will stay a few days longer!

Brilliant shot. It looks like superimposed images: the house and background don’t seem to belong together. The contrasts are fantastic! 🙂

Looking at the horizon as you can do more effectively in a sea shot one wonders how educatied people can believe in the flat earth theory where a slight curve is clearly visible.
